Title III Retention Coordinator

 Alex Miller serves as the Title III Retention Coordinator at Hazard Community and Technical College. In this role, Alex leads retention initiatives designed to support student success, persistence, and completion. Alex works collaboratively with campus departments to connect students with academic resources and support services that help remove barriers to educational attainment.

With a background in psychology and Christian studies, along with professional experience in both higher education and mental health settings, Alex brings a holistic and student-centered approach to retention efforts. Alex works directly with students to provide guidance in areas such as academic planning, career exploration, and navigating college systems, while also connecting students to support for non-academic challenges such as transportation, food insecurity, housing needs, and mental health resources.

Through the Title III initiative, Alex is committed to developing strategies and programs that strengthen student engagement, improve access to campus resources, and support students from enrollment through completion and career readiness.
