Scholarships

Thanks to our wide variety of individual donors and organizations, Hazard Community and Technical College offers many different scholarships to our students. To make the scholarship application process simple and convenient, applicants only need to complete one application to be considered for all available institutional scholarships. HCTC scholarships have a 2.5 GPA requirement. While all students meeting GPA requirements are eligible for general scholarships, some scholarships are specific to location and program of study.

We encourage every student to apply for our institutional scholarships.

Before you apply

Before you apply, we suggest you have these items completed or available. These will be necessary to complete your application successfully.

• Complete your FAFSA
• KCTCS email and password
  • If you don’t have this, make sure you have submitted your Application for Admission. (It may take a few days after submission for students to access their accounts.)

Starting November 1, 2026, scholarship applications will be open. The priority deadline is March 1, 2027, but you may continue to apply until October 2027. Please be sure you have submitted your application, as applications that are not submitted will not be considered for scholarships.
