Start Packed at HCTC! 

Ready to begin your college journey at Hazard Community & Technical College? Express Enrollment makes it easy to apply, complete your enrollment steps, and register for Fall 2026 classes.

Express Enrollment takes place 07/27–08/14/2026, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays. Evening appointments are available upon request.

Join us in person on Saturday, 08/01, from 10 AM to 2 PM at HCTC’s HWY 15 Campus in Hazard.

At Express Enrollment, you can:

  • Apply to HCTC for free
  • Meet with financial aid staff
  • Learn about the Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship
  • Submit required documents
  • Take placement tests, if needed
  • Register for Fall 2026 classes
  • Get answers to your enrollment questions
  • …and more!

WIN A COLLEGE STARTER KIT! 

All credential-seeking, full-time students who enroll during Express Enrollment will be entered for a chance to win one of five HCTC “Start Packed” starter kits.

Each kit includes:

  • A branded JanSport®️ backpack
  • A branded Stanley®️ tumbler
  • A branded spiral notebook
  • A branded fidget spinner
  • A branded Pop-It game
  • A branded wireless charger

Winners will be announced on Monday, 08/17. HCTC will share the winners on social media and contact them by phone or email.

All items must be picked up within five days of the announcement, or winners must make arrangements with HCTC’s Department of Marketing & Communications.

Contest Rules

  • To qualify, students must be credential-seeking, enrolled full-time, and enrolled for Fall 2026 courses at HCTC within the 07/27-08/14/2026 campaign timeframe. 
  • Per federal regulations, any gift or prize awarded by the college must be reported as part of your financial aid Cost of Attendance (COA) for the academic year. If your COA is already fully met, the value of the prize may reduce your eligibility for federal student loans, state grants, or work-study funds.

If you are a returning student, please contact your advisor to register.  Each advisor has a preferred method of contact. Below are the most common ways by which you can reach your advisor:

  • If you are a returning student in need of advising assistance, please visit the Academic Advising webpage. 
  • To find your advisor, please visit your Student Self Service Center.
  • No assigned advisor? Please contact the Enrollment Services Center at (606) 487-3293.
