Offices and Departments
The institutional structure behind our success
To succeed at our mission of serving the diverse educational needs of all Kentuckians, we have organized the college into several key offices:
Office of the President
The President is the Chief Executive Officer with responsibility for college-wide operations, communications and administration. This office also directly supports Development, Public Relations, Marketing, Maintenance and Operations, (including Safety and Security), and the Document Production Center.
Academic Services
HCTC s Academic Services unit embraces all types of learning... credit, non-credit, workforce training, and community interest. Academic Services includes both traditional in-person formats, as well as a variety of online and hybridized learning opportunities. A wide array of certificate, diploma, and degree programs are available in addition to workshops, seminars, and customized training. The unit is organized around five academic divisions to serve the needs of our students and the community. Affiliated academic units include Online Learning Services, HCTC Libraries, Workforce Solutions, and the University Center of the Mountains.
Business Services
Business Services supports budgeting, accounting and payroll services. Through this office students can make arrangements for tuition and fees payment.
Human Resources
Human Resources is responsible for employee relations, professional development, organizational planning and development, benefits administration, and pay equity. Additional services provided by the HR Department include recruitment and selection of HCTC employees.
Student Services
Student Services provides a broad range of programs to help students reach academic goals and enhance their personal, intellectual and social development. Student Services assists students and prospective students through the Admissions and Financial Aid Offices. Students with documented disabilities should register with the Director of Accessibility Services.
Technology Solutions
Technology Solutions supports collaboration among the divisions by leveraging technology to support the college's strategic plan. This team provides the highest level of service while assuring fiscally responsible technological practices. Tech Solutions strives to provide a reliable and performance-driven college infrastructure.
