HCTC GED Advantage "Learn & Earn!"

Earn Up to $1,500 by Completing Courses and/or a Credential at HCTC. Plus, the first class is FREE! To qualify, you must have completed and earned your GED through HCTC’s adult education program.

Step 1:	Enoll in a Free Class. FYE 105-First Year Experience Class * Student must complete FYE 105 Course with a grade of “C” or better. * Upon completion of the first class, students must complete a FAFSA and be eligible to receive Title IV aid AND not be in student loan default.
Step 2:	Enroll in 2 Classes* the Following Semester *Classes must equal a minimum of 6 credit hours.	Receive $300
Step 3:	Complete the 2 classes with "C" or Better and Enroll in 2 more Classes* the Following Semester * Classes must equal a minimum of 6 credit hours.	Receive $600
Step 4:	Earn an HCTC College Credential *Credential must be for college credit	Receive $600

** Please note that it is the responsibility of the student to report any dollars received as income. Any dollars received could affect total federal and/or state aid awarded by HCTC. Any dollars received will never be applied toward tuition dues.

** If students withdraw before completing courses, they will owe back any dollars received.

Already registered for Fall 2024? First time GED students are still eligible for the GED Advantage! Be sure to enroll in a FYE 105 Course this Summer or Fall Semester to become eligible.
