Community Support Associate (CSA)

Embark on a rewarding journey with our Community Support Associate Training Program, meticulously crafted to meet the high standards set by the Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID).

This 10-hour online program is specifically tailored for both aspiring and existing professionals keen on enhancing their ability to support individuals of all ages who are dealing with mental health challenges, disabilities, and substance use disorders.

We invite individuals over the age of 18 with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in mental health or co-occurring disorders services to enhance their careers through our specialized training. This program is designed to build on your existing knowledge with rigorous, interactive training that meets both state and professional standards.

Course Eligibility

To enroll in the Community Support Associate (CSA) 10-hour course you shall:

  • Be eighteen (18) years of age or older;
  • Have a minimum educational requirement of a high school diploma or General Equivalence Diploma
    (GED) certificate;
  • Have one (1) year of full-time experience working with individuals who receive services for treatment of a: 1. Mental health disorder; or 2. Co-occurring disorder;
  • Successfully complete within six (6) months of hire the department-led or approved training program described in Section 3 of 908 KAR 2:250
  • by submitting an application, you acknowledge that you meet the eligibility criteria outlined above and in 908 KAR 2:250

  • March 1st
  • April 26th
  • May 17th
  • June 21st
