202KAR 7:301 mandates that students have to be at least 16 years of age to be eligible to enroll in an EMT education program and hold a valid driver’s license.  Most of KCTCS partner providers require the student be at least 18 years old before they can participate in the clinical experience.

* Students are required to hold current unrestricted registration with the National Registry EMT as an EMT to be eligible for the program.  Individuals desiring initial certification as an EMT, have to be 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma or GED.

Medical Assisting is a selective admissions program and acceptance into the program is required.  The courses below will count towards that program upon admission, but it will also count for other healthcare programs.

Progression is contingent upon achievement of a grade of “C” or better in each required course & maintenance of a 2.0 grade point average or better.

Acceptance into the Associate Degree Nursing program is based on a selective admission process.  In order to be considered for admission, applicants must comply with college and program admission requirements. The courses below will count towards that program upon admission but will also count for several other pathways.

Progression in the Associate Degree Nursing Program is contingent upon achievement of a grade of “C” or better in each biological science, nursing and mathematics course and maintenance of a 2.0 cumulative grade point average or better.
