UCMs Tracie Davis provide service to students

Tracie DavisStudents will benefit from the services provided by Tracie Davis who is a new addition to the University Center of the Mountains team. Tracie is the new CEOC College Access Counselor who serves Knott, Letcher and Perry Counties. With a focus on first generation college students, Tracie is available to assist students with financial aid, college applications, and the GED process. Admissions waivers are also available through Tracie for those who qualify.

UCM Director Deronda Mobelini noted, Tracie is not affiliated with any college or university, so her job is to assist students applying to any two-year or four-year institution, in state or out-of-state, so she is a wonderful resource.

Tracie is a Hazard native who completed her undergraduate degree in elementary education through EKU and her master's degree from Morehead State. She is married to Todd Davis, and the couple has three boys one at UK, one in high school and one in middle school.

Tracie has already been out and about in the community and the region, working with students and getting to know our various education partners. She is a wonderful support person for our students, and they are already getting to know her and to enjoy working with her, noted Mrs. Mobelini.

The University Center of the Mountains is located at Hazard Community and Technical College in the Jolly Classroom Center. For more information about working on a bachelor s degree or master s degree, call the UCM at 800-246-7521, ext. 73252 or 606-487-3252.
