One-day a week classes at HCTC begin in spring semester
Job, family, and other responsibilities can make it hard to attend college. As a new initiative, Hazard Community and Technical College will offer Hybrid classes in the spring semester. Hybrid classes mean students only need to come to campus one day a week. This new schedule is being offered at the Hazard Campus.
Professor Amy Wernette told students about the convenience. Hybrid classes really do combine some of the best parts of both online and in-person classes. They give more flexibility to your schedule and you only have to worry about transportation once a week. And, you still get to meet with an instructor regularly to ask questions and get the help you need, she said.
Classes offered include writing, biology, math, computers, communications, and reading.
Those interested in enrolling should call the Admissions Office at (606) 436-5721.
Financial aid is available for eligible students.
