Mountain Songwriters Night entertains crowd

Mountain Songwriters Night entertained a crowd. The event was highlighted by the great music from Exile performers, Les Taylor, JP Pennington, and Sonny LeMaire (shown here). Mountain Songwriters Night, held at the Leslie County Center in Hyden, was the result of a partnership between the HCTC Greater Hazard Area Performing Arts Series and the Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music. Also appearing with Exile s members was Jessie Rose Pennington, J.P. s daughter, who is coming into her own as a songwriter and performer. Songwriters and singers associated with the Kentucky School of Bluegrass amp; Traditional Music program performed some of their original songs.
