
Lee Sharp joins MSU staff at UCM
The Transition Center in the Office of Enrollment Services is pleased to announce
the addition of Lee Sharp, who will be serving as Enrollment Services Counselor for
Regional Campuses/Transfer Advisor. Sharp will be based at the University Center of
the Mountains (UCM): Higher Education Center, on the campus of Hazard Community and
Technical College (CTC) in Hazard, KY. He will travel among the campuses of Big Sandy
CTC, Hazard CTC, Southeast KY CTC, and Somerset CC to assist current and prospective
transfer students with admissions, advising, and other student services. We are delighted
to welcome Lee as the newest member to our in-house UCM Student Services Team, observed
Dr. Deronda Mobelini, UCM Director. I, and our students, are appreciative of our
four-year partners support in providing transfer counselors, such as Lee, in the
UCM on HCTC s campus to talk with and guide our students through the transfer process.
Lee has already jumped right in to assist our students. Morehead Transfer Advisor
Lee Sharp will be meeting with students, faculty, and staff to inform them of the
exciting opportunities available to transfer students at MSU such as regional campuses,
online degree completer programs, and transfer scholarships.
Lee was born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio, and is a two time graduate of Morehead State University, receiving his Bachelor s and Master s degree in Business Administration. Lee also served in the Kentucky Army National Guard for six years, and was called up for two state disaster relief missions and deployed to Iraq in 2009.
Jen Timmermann, Transfer Senior Enrollment Services Counselor, noted, We are incredibly pleased to have Lee join Team Transfer. His proactive approach to student service along with his friendly, approachable personality will make him a very valuable asset to the areas he serve.
Sharp said he is looking forward to helping students achieve their academic and career
goals. I am excited about joining the team at MSU and look forward to helping the
University and students succeed, he said.
