Keila Miller is HCTCs new Workforce Solutions Director

Keila MillerDeveloping partnerships that can bring innovative training programs is a chief priority for Keila Miller, HCTC s new Director of Workforce Solutions. Workforce Solutions will focus on designing new short-term training programs that address the needs of our region while drawing attention to the skills of our workforce, Mrs. Miller said.

She also is working with economic development partners such as SOAR (Shaping Our Appalachian Region), One East Kentucky, local chambers of commerce and economic development boards to recruit new industry to our area.

Mrs. Miller brings 20 years of combined experience in workforce development and human resource management. Her most recent success at HCTC is the Lineman Training Program that she has coordinated since its inception. It has been recognized for its innovative strategies along with the job placements of graduates.

HCTC President Dr. Jennifer Lindon said Mrs. Miller was the ideal person for the job. Keila epitomizes excellent customer service in her dealings with the businesses she serves; we are fortunate to have her in this position.

Her work experience includes seven years as HCTC s Workforce Liaison and another six years with HCTC business assistance center BITAC. She worked for Trust Joist/Weyerhauser in the accounting and forestry department, was the American Woodmark Human Resource Manager, and worked for LPA Group in Columbia, SC as assistant to the CEO.

Keila and husband, Mike Miller, live in Fisty. Their daughter, Natalie, is a Morehead State University student.
