HCTC student earns UK scholarship

Kristin Baker of Hazard Community and Technical College will receive the Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship to the University of Kentucky for the 2015-2016 academic year. Kristin, of Hazard, is a member of the HCTC Hazard Campus Phi Theta Kappa Alpha Beta Epsilon Chapter and will continue membership this year as a concurrently enrolled student. Kristin s work with Phi Theta Kappa speaks to her level of commitment, both academically and to her community. She also serves as an HCTC Student Ambassador.

Kristin s academic achievement and scholarly work earned her the UK scholarship. The award is valued at $5,546 per semester.
