HCTC promotes nine faculty

The following nine Hazard Community and Technical College faculty members are being promoted, effective July 1. Their hometown and positions are:

Renee Back of Jackson, Professor, University Center of Mountains/Transfer Counselor; Tony Back of Premium, Professor, Division Chair Occupational Technologies and Computer Aided Design; Helen Brunty of Letcher, Professor, Student Services; Carolyn Bush of Bonnyman, Professor, Division Chair Computer and Online Technologies; Willie Cornett of Whitesburg, Assistant Professor, Heavy Equipment Operations; Alexis Malepeai of Hazard, Assistant Professor, Coordinator of Assessment amp; Continuous Enhancement; Rex Medlin of Manchester, Assistant Professor, Biology; Beverly Smith of Jackson, Assistant Professor, Nursing; Bryan Swafford of Pippa Passes; Assistant Professor, Student Support Services.

HCTC President Dr. Steve Greiner noted, I applaud each person named here for putting the students first and being dedicated to helping them succeed. Their excellence contributes in making HCTC a wonderful place of higher learning.
