HCTC Health Information Technology program update

Any student interested in the Health Information Technology program at Hazard Community and Technical College should begin planning now. Students accepted into the program begin in the fall terms. If pre-requisites are needed, those courses should be taken spring 2015. The deadline to apply for consideration for the fall 2015 group is March 1, 2015. If you are interested in preparing or applying for the HIT program, please contact Stephanie Vergne, Professor/HIT Program Coordinator, at stephanie.vergne@kctcs.edu or 606-487-3296.

The Health Information Technology Associate Degree program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Graduates of the program are eligible to take the American Health Information Management Association's (AHIMA s) Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) examination.
