HCTC Career Fair is March 18

Anyone looking for a job is invited to a Career Fair on March 18. High school students, college students and people throughout the community are invited to Hazard Community and Technical College for a career fair to be held on Tuesday, March 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in room 123 of the First Federal Center. This is a rescheduled date. Partners in the event include the Hazard/Perry County Chamber of Commerce, East Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program (EKCEP), Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, KY Career Center and LKLP Jobsite.

Local businesses, as well as regional employers have been invited. Application and resume assistance will be available. Job seekers need to bring their Social Security card, driver's license and resume and dress appropriately for a possible interview.

Officials say job fairs are important for the community since they are a resource for those looking for employment. School officials say building a good work ethic at a young age will help kids become better workers and students, noted Helen Brunty, HCTC Career Counselor.
