Give the Gift of the Arts for Christmas
The Greater Hazard Area Performing Arts Series has a suggestion for those looking for the perfect Christmas gift tickets to see the dinner show of Jaimee Paul in At Last on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 6 p.m. in the HCTC First Federal Center. The last day to purchase tickets is Friday, Dec. 21 so act now.
At Last is a tribute to the great girl singers of our time starring Jaimee Paul. Imagine a 1940s jazz club with the voices of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Rosemary Clooney, and others. Jaimee Paul and her Jazz combo, led by husband Leif Shires on trumpet, deliver just that. At Last, a tribute to that wonderful era and those fabulous female vocalists of that time, will certainly take you back to the glory days of yesteryear.
Event sponsors are Community Trust Bank, Blue Diamond, AEP- Kentucky Power, and Kentucky
River Properties LLC.
Series grand benefactors are: Whitaker Bank, Peoples Bank and Trust, Perry Distributors,
Pine Branch Coal Sales, Hazard Lions Club, and City of Hazard Mayor Nan Gorman.
The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, provides operating support with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts. The Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky and the Steele-Reese Foundation are also providing support this season.
