    Crowd of 500 at Jean Ritchie Tribute

    High school and college choirs performA crowd of 500 including 150 performers was part of the Greater Hazard Area Performing Arts Series event Appalachian Winter Homecoming: A Tribute to Jean Ritchie, noted Tammy Duff, Performing Arts Director. Area choirs performed on November 28 along with our Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music. Members of Jean Ritchie s family attended the event. A video tribute from WYMT and Jean Ritchie s music were enjoyed by the audience.
