Community reception held for HCTC's interim president

Welcoming reception for Dr. PateDr. Juston Pate (on right), Interim President of Hazard Community and Technical College, was warmly welcomed during a reception Jan. 12 by the Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky and the Hazard-Perry County Chamber of Commerce. Shown here, from left, are Stacie Fugate of Hazard High School, Melissa Vermillion of HCTC, and Jeff Spradlin of UK Robinson Scholars Program. Dr. Pate was named a Duke of Hazard during the evening at the Challenger Center. The presentation was made by Perry County Judge Executive Scott Alexander, Chamber of Commerce President Janet Smith, and Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Betsy Clemons. Tom Cravens, Challenger Center Director, thanked Dr. Pate for participating in the community event.
