College Goal Sunday is Jan. 29

Here s a chance to get free financial aid assistance to attend college. Hazard Community and Technical College will be hosting College Goal Sunday on Sunday, Jan. 29, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held in the Jolly Classroom Center Computer Lab, in rooms 108 and 110. College Goal Sunday provides students and their families the opportunity to get the 2012-2013 financial aid application completed with the assistance of a financial aid professional. There are no fees for this service. If students are planning to attend college starting August 2012, they can use this event to get the financial aid application completed and submitted for processing, noted Chuck Anderson, Financial Aid director.

Attendees should bring completed 2011 U.S. Income Tax Returns and W-2 statements, if available. Financial Aid Professionals will be on hand to assist with the completion of this extremely important application.
