The Greater Hazard Area Performing Arts Series announces tryouts for Missoula Children s Theatre s Treasure Island will be Monday, Sept. 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the First Federal Center at Hazard Community and Technical College. Students in grades 1-12 are invited to audition. Around 50 to 60 students will be cast in the show.
A public performance of Treasure Island will be held Saturday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. in the First Federal Center. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students (age 6 18). Those age five and younger are admitted for free. Check out the website hazardperformingarts.com for ordering tickets online.
This is the kick-off event for the Performing Arts Series. The show is an original musical adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson s epic novel Treasure Island.
