Janets Planet Tour through Solar System March 26

Janet's PlanetThe Greater Hazard Area Performing Arts Series announces Janet s Planet is scheduled to be on stage Wednesday, March 26 at 6 p.m. in the Perry County Public Library. Admission is free; however, seating is limited so everyone will need to have a ticket. Go to hazardperformingarts.com to order tickets online.

Janet Ivey is a 12-time Emmy and 5-time Gracie Award winning actress seen on more than 140 PBS stations across the USA performing as her character on Janet's Planet TM. The live show, Tour through Our Solar System, uses multi-media in a theatrical setting. Through the use of humor, theatrical antics, visual illusions, enticing graphic elements and the opportunity to join Janet on stage, young audience members are fully engaged in helping to find the necessary elements in space to help build the supercomputer Galileo. One young astronaut in training will even get to walk on the moon! Based on a curriculum endorsed by NASA and Space Florida, get ready for an out of this world, galactic, imaginative, learning adventure and bring your kids to see Janet's Planet!

This show had originally been planned for October 2013 but this is the rescheduled performance.
Series Grand Benefactors are Peoples Bank amp; Trust Company and Perry Distributors, Inc.

The event sponsors are Kiwanis Club of Hazard and Hazard Lions Club. The performance is being presented in partnership with the Perry County Public Library, and lodging is being provided by the Hampton Inn amp; Suites. This performance is funded in part by a grant from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Kentucky Arts Council.
