Brenda Combs of Jackson is retiring from Hazard Community and Technical College s Maintenance and Operations Department after 22 years of service. During her retirement, she plans to return to HCTC as a student. I like psychology and I would very much like to take classes.
Looking back on her service, she said it has been wonderful to work at HCTC. I always have liked working here because things just keep getting better.
I like meeting the new students. I ve been in school with some of their grandmothers, she noted. HCTC opens its arms and embraces us all employees and students. I have really liked this work environment and admired my supervisors, she said.
Ron Holmes, M and O Director, noted, Brenda s value as an employee here is unmatched; we appreciate her willingness to do her job with a professional attitude. Her work ethic is first class. After all these fine years of service, she will truly be missed.
Ms. Combs graduated from Lees College in Jackson in 1971 with an associate degree and spent much of her working career serving that campus. She recently has worked at the Hazard Campus.
