HCTC Success Story: Nursing runs in Jaden Fields’ family
Jaden Fields is a graduate of Hazard High School and a recent graduate of Hazard Community and Technical College’s (HCTC) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
Since she was young, she always wanted to work in the healthcare field. She currently works at Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center as an LPN.
“I love being able to help those in need, who can't help themselves, and be there for the ones who have nobody else,” she said.
Jaden is not a stranger to the nursing field. Her aunt, Rebekah Fields, is an HCTC nursing faculty member. Her aunt inspired her love for nursing and encouraged her to attend HCTC’s nursing program.
“I loved all the nursing faculty,” she said. “With lectures and clinicals, they prepared us for the real world and showed us what the nursing job really included,” she added.
Jaden is taking online classes now but plans to begin HCTC’s nursing program in January.
