what is human services

This program prepares you for entry level positions in agencies and institutions which provide social, community, educational and mental health services. The curriculum provides an opportunity for you to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for entry level employment. Application of human services principles and skills is provided through a clinical experience in an appropriate setting.

Upon completion of the program, you'll be prepared to seek employment in various areas which may include child care facilities, mental health settings, chemical dependency settings, hospitals, educational institutions, correctional facilities, geriatric settings, child and youth centers, and social service agencies.

Length of Program

You can earn an associate in applied science degree in two years if you maintain full-time status.
