    Inclement Weather Updates and Spring Start Information

    Dear Students,

    Due to inclement weather, Hazard Community & Technical College (HCTC) is currently operating remotely. Please review the following important updates to help you prepare for the Spring 2025 semester:

     To Order Your Spring 2025 Books:

    • Visit our online bookstore webpage.
    • Call the college bookstore at 606-487-3142 if you have questions.

     

    Reminder: When submitting online book orders:

    • Be sure to change the “Location” to Hazard for all Hazard/HCTC classes.
    • If taking a class from another KCTCS college, change the location to that college to order materials specific to those courses.

    Waiting on the Response to Your Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal?

    • Be patient—it takes time for appeals to be processed, reviewed, and approved.
    • While waiting, make sure to log on and attend all classes as registered on Jan. 13 to maintain good academic standing.
    • If your appeal is denied, you will be contacted immediately via your official KCTCS student email. Directions on next steps will be provided.
