Healthcare Worker Certificate program
HCTC physician office lab assistant/phlebotomy students completed the Healthcare Worker Certificate program in Jackson. Shown here are, front row, from left, Instructor Larry Scott Allen, Tyne Grigsby, Myrtle Bush, Shelly Caudill, Cynthia Fee, Britney Colwell, and Ardana Smith. Back row, from left, are Ashley Joseph, Rachel Foster, Reda Johnson, Kayla Caudill, Travis Hurt, and Christie Jones. The students completed courses in phlebotomy, serology, urinalysis, and clinical lab policy and procedure. They also performed a clinical with 120 working hours and 120 documented sticks. These students will be going to work at local area clinics and hospitals. Some will be moving on to work toward a bachelor’s degree in medical lab science.
