The Workforce Solutions unit of Learning Services offers a variety of short-term courses for individuals and businesses. Classes can also be customized to meet business and industry needs and are available at all HCTC campuses... with flexible times and formats. On-site training can also be provided for group training needs where appropriate facilities are available.
Services offered by Workforce Solutions include but are not limited to the following:
- Customized Business and Industry Training
- Specialized Healthcare Training including pharmacy technician, EMT, paramedic, and physician office laboratory
- Mine maintenance and new miner training through the Kentucky Coal Academy
- Fire rescue training
- Small Business Consulting
- Technical skills upgrade training in areas such as welding, hydraulics, electrical, and PLC
- Professional Licensure CEU’s including plumbing, electrical and HVAC
- Community education courses including motorcycle riding, computer training, and aerobics
- Online workshops
- Children’s programming including dance and baton
