Student Life

More than a classroom...

photo of students at cookoutHCTC offers a variety of cultural, social, and learning opportunities at all of our campus sites.  You can build a network of friends by participating in one of our student organizations, playing intramural sports, representing your fellow students as a member of the Student Government Association, or attending our Greater Hazard Area Performing Arts Series, which is free for all HCTC students.  We host a variety of transfer fairs each semester, and students attend leadership conferences as well as participate in on-campus leadership opportunities.

Community Involvement

HCTC recognizes the importance of serving our community.  Our Ready to Work program places student workers in jobs throughout our service area.  Many of our student organizations participate in fundraising activites such as the Cancer Relay for Life.  Our Workforce Solutions department provides continuing education opportunities for many area residents.
